Amanda Lou Conn Roe, 71, of Olive Hill, went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening, February 17, 2019, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born July 5, 1947, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Golden and Agnes Evans Conn.
Amanda attended Providence Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
Amanda is survived by five brothers, Golden Conn Jr. (Maxine), Joe Conn (Barb), Johnny Conn (Kathy), and Ernie Conn (Debbie), all of Olive Hill, and Billy Conn (Kathy) of Mansfield, Ohio, and one sister, Verlina Greenhill (Roger) of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Roy Huston Roe; one son, Roy Daniel “Dan” Roe; one brother, Thurman Conn; and one sister, Gloria Jane Conn Middleton.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill with Bro. Jim Porter and Bro. Bobby Day officiating. Burial will follow in Easterling Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019, and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60 at Olive Hill.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
