Anna Gilvin, 98, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away February 14, 2016, at Hubbard Hill Retirement Village in Elkhart.
She was born April 30, 1917, to Russell and Rosa (Lee) Poynter at Petersville. On April 7, 1937, Anna married Clyde Joseph Gilvin. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2003.
She enjoyed quilting, word search puzzles, traveling, and gardening.
Anna is survived by her children, Clyde (Donita) Gilvin Jr. of California, Charles (Doris) Gilvin of Arizona, Calvin (Laura) Gilvin of South Carolina, Tim (Nancy) Gilvin and Terry (Marie) Gilvin both of Mishawaka; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to Clyde and her parents, Anna was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Penny.
A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana.
There was a funeral in Mrs. Gilvin’s honor on Friday, February 19, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
