Anna Lee Angel Murphy, 96, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Portsmouth Health and Rehab in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born January 2, 1928, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Fred and Gladys Bruce Angel.
Anna Lee traveled extensively across the United States with her husband, Major Jesse J. Murphy, USA retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved each and every one there. She enjoyed walking with her friends, shopping, and attending cookouts in the summer with her family.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. Murphy; three sisters, Janet McGlone, Violet Smith and Louise Clausing; a brother, Fred Angel Jr.; and two half-brothers, Ben Cotton and Jesse Cotton.
Services will be at Noon Friday, January 26, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Dr. Howard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
