Anna Stamper Smalley, 91, of Cohoes, New York, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Eddy Village Green in Cohoes.
She was born October 16, 1929, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Thurston and Ethel Grace Owens Stamper.
Anna was a school teacher in Pella, Iowa. She loved children, sewing, quilting, cooking, taking walks and spending time with her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by one son, John Smalley (Parrin Tingley) of London, England; one daughter, Ruth Ann Smalley (James Peltz) of Albany, New York; and four grandchildren, Hannah Smalley, William Peltz Smalley, Thurston Smalley, and Owen Smalley. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Smalley, and four brothers, Stanley Stamper, Bill Stamper, Paul Stamper and Don Stamper.
A graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021, in Stamper Family Cemetery at Emerson.
