Anthony Gayle Zornes Sr., 66, of Garrison, passed away Monday afternoon, September 16, 2019, at his home.
He was born January 31, 1953, at Emerson, a son of the late Homer Ottis and Velva Jessie Dyer Zornes.
Anthony enjoyed going fishing, camping, hunting, going to Tennessee and spending time with his family.
Anthony is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois Zornes; one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Gayle Zornes Jr. and Lisa of Garrison; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Craft and Jason of South Portsmouth; two foster daughters, Angie Stone and Randy of Vanceburg, and Christine Thurman of Garrison; six grandchildren, Tyler Stone, Tony Dale Zornes, Christopher Jarrells, Caitlin Stone, Madison Thurman, and Brayden Thurman; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny Zornes and Anna of Emerson; one sister and two brothers-in-law, Marcella Kitchen and Sam of Olive Hill, and Lee Holden and Delrae of Bismark, North Dakota; one stepbrother, Anthony Nolen of Vanceburg; two stepsisters, Judy Killen and Cora Bayless, both of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy L. Holden.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. John Stamper and Bro. Clarence Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2019, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
