Members of the Lewis County Board of Education approved an architect for the project to build a new facility for the students and staff of Central Elementary during a regular session last week.
Superintendent Belinda Forman recommended the Lexington architectural firm of alt32 for the multi-million dollar project.
“As you well know, after passage of the nickel tax in the special election (in December), through legislation, we will be receiving equalization of funds from the state plus we will be getting the urgent needs money,” she said.
