Arnold Dean Fannin, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday morning, April 8, 2017, at Hospice of Hope Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
He was born April 11, 1935, in Lewis County, a son of the late Everett and Laura Jane Bloomfield Fannin.
Dean proudly served our country in the US Army and was a member of Laurel Point Christian Holiness Church.
Dean is survived by his wife of 60 years, Elnora Blankenship Fannin; one daughter, Heather Marie Wright (Larry) of Vanceburg; two grandchildren, Larry Dean Wright (April) of Vanceburg and Deidra Marie Wright Kraft (Kameron) of Quincy; one great-grandchild, Emma Grace Wright of Vanceburg; two sisters, Geneva McCormick (James) of Ashland and Janet Chatman of Fort Thomas; and a special friend, Corinne Miller, whom he thought of as his own. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Curt Fannin, Carl Fannin, Elva Fannin, and Coy Fannin.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Laural Point Christian Holiness Church with Bro. Clifford Muse, Bro. Rudy Fannin and Bro. Jerry Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy with full military honors accorded by Monte Lewis Stamm VFW Post 5438 of Vanceburg.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Camp Dix and from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday at Laurel Point Christian Holiness Church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
