Arnold Dummitt

Arnold Lee Dummitt, 72, Emerson, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 25, 1947, at Garrison, a son of Arthur Mart Dummitt of Garrison, and the late Marie Kamer Dummitt.

Arnold attended Old Trace Community Church and was retired from CSX Railroad. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed hunting with his friends, spending time at his hunting cabin and spending time with his family.

In addition to his father, Arnold is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Lee and James Flannery, Wendy Dawn and Bobby Burge, and Amber Jo and Dave Cooley, all of Olive Hill; four grandchildren, Moniquica and Nathan Carter, Mason Burge, Halley Burge and Chloe Belle Rayburn; one great-grandson, Tripp Carter; one brother, Markie and Amy Dummitt of Olive Hill; and two sisters, Kathy and Eugene Osborne of Garrison, and Crystal Lynn and Richard Yockey of Lucasville, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Joyce Ann Zornes Dummitt; a sister and brother-in-law, Barb and Bill Tom Cooper; and a special friend, Dottie Logan.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Old Trace Community Church at Emerson with Bro. Ronnie Riggs and Bro. Bobby Burge officiating. Burial will follow in Old Trace Community Cemetery at Emerson.

Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020, and until the service time Sunday at the Old Trace Community Church.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Globe Funeral Chapel at Olive Hill is caring for all arrangements.
