Arthur Bryan “Sonny” Moore Jr., 82, of Tollesboro, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville.
He was the widower of Nettie Sue Thomas Moore and was the owner and operator of Moore’s Grocery Store and Garage in Burtonville for many years.
He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on September 30, 1934, a son of the late Arthur Bryan Moore Sr. and Edith Cropper Moore.
Survivors include his son, Arthur Brent Moore (Elva) of Tollesboro; a daughter, Pam Scheaffer (Mike) of Pleasant Hill, Ohio; four grandchildren, Thomas Brent Moore, William Bryan Moore, Zachary Keller Scheaffer and Alissa Kinder Wesbecher; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Joan Elliott of Norwood, Ohio.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Moore and Marty Eugene Moore; and a sister, Betty Jean Thomas.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.
The arrangements are entrusted to Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro.
