UPDATE
Two suspects have been identified in Tollesboro incidents involving the theft of four-wheelers.
Sheriff Johnny Bivens said two juveniles have been named as the most recent four-wheeler theft was being investigated.
“Charges will be filed against them,” Bivens said.
He said in questioning the juveniles it was discovered that they had taken the ATV on previous occasions and returned before the owner discovered it was missing.
Bivens added the juveniles are suspected in other incidents over the past few weeks.
He urges residents to remove the keys from all vehicles while they are not in use. He says it is a good idea to keep photos of your utility vehicles along with other identifying information secured inside your home.
“If your ATV is stolen this information is invaluable in trying to locate and recover your property,” he adds.

ATV Recovered, returned to owner
Deputy Bryon Walker said a stolen four-wheeler has been recovered in Tollesboro and returned to the owner.
Walker said the Arctic Cat ATV was recovered in a field behind Tollesboro Christian Church early Tuesday morning, August 9.
During the investigation the owner was identified as Marty Voiers III, Walker said. The camo themed ATV was returned to Voiers Tuesday morning.
“It had apparently been taken from Mr. Voiers barn sometime late Monday or early Tuesday,” Walker said. He added the custom accessories on the ATV helped to determine the owner.
Walker is continuing the investigation into the theft and was spending the afternoon Tuesday collecting evidence in the incident.
Although he does have suspects, Walker asks anyone who may have information concerning the theft to contact the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at 606-796-2912.
