Barbara Ann Penrod Hardin, 75, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday morning, December 1, 2018, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born March 28, 1943, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Emmitt and Gracie Highfield Penrod.
Barbara was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, animals, reading and spending time with her family.
Barbara is survived by two sons, James Edward Hardin Jr. of Lima, Ohio, and Matthew Allen Hardin of Sherwood, Michigan; three brothers, Earlest Penrod of Vanceburg, David Penrod of Erlanger, and Wendell Penrod of Hillsdale, Michigan; four sisters, Gloria Angel of Garrison, Pamela Duke of Quincy, Michigan, Debbie Richardson of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Theresa Penrod of Vanceburg; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Grohalski and Betty Cole.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 5, 2018, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Oval Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Temple Baptist Radio Ministries in Portsmouth, Ohio.
