Barbara Iery Moore, 64, of New Boston, Ohio, formerly of Vanceburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Heartland of Portsmouth Care Facility.
Barbara was born June 2, 1952, at Carrs to the late James and Louanna Walker Iery.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill Iery, Tim Iery, and Jerry Iery.
Barbara was affiliated with Vanceburg Christian Church and loved outdoor gardening and flowers. She was retired as a hostess for Holiday Inn in Portsmouth.
Survivors include her son, Brian Moore of New Boston; two brothers, Dean Iery of Newport, Tennessee, and Larry Iery of Portsmouth; three sisters, Verlyn Doles of Chillicothe, Ohio, Pat McClurg of Vanceburg, and Rhonda Iery of Vanceburg; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Music Family Funeral Home, 224 Main Street in Greenup, with Deacon Chris Varacalli officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Noon until the service hour Wednesday at Music Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memorial Gardens at Black Oak.
