Barbara Kay Flinders Applegate, 68, of Wallingford, passed away Tuesday morning, March 15, 2016, at her residence.
She was born January 12, 1948, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Delbert Perry Flinders and Helen Marie Evans Flinders Drake.
Barbara attended Evans Chapel and enjoyed reading, fishing, embroidering, watching television and especially spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Flinders and Lowell Flinders; and one sister, Deloris Howard.
Barbara is survived by one son, Aaron Applegate of Vanceburg; one daughter, Amy Clark (Jamie Spencer) of Wallingford; three grandchildren, Cameron Royal, Gabriel Applegate, and Alexandria Applegate; and two sisters, Garnet Knell and Carmel Bond, both of Vanceburg. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2016, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Webster Cemetery at Vanceburg.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00Â p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2016, and until the service hour on Friday at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
