Beatrice L. Stapleton Dunigan, 76, of Vanceburg, passed away at 7:28 p.m. Thursday evening, April 15, 2016, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Beatrice was born in Lewis County January 1, 1940, to the late Harry and Elsie Horsley Stapleton. She was a homemaker, loved reading books, going to stock car races and flea markets.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Lovell Dunigan, whom she married October 17, 1967, in Lewis County; three daughters, Rhenda Kay (Dwight) Carrington of Vanceburg,
Rosemarie Tackett and Sherry (Ronald ) DeHart both of Springfield, Ohio; four sons, David Ginn of Summerville, South Carolina, Frank and Wendy Ginn of South Carolina, Lovell Dunigan Jr. and his wife Drema, and Joe (Jessica) Dunigan both of Vanceburg; three sisters, Irene (Roy) Mollett and Marlene Tackett both of Springfield, Ohio, and Velma Sutton of Cincinnati, Ohio; one brother, Everet Stapleton of Alabama; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Stapleton and Carl Stapleton; and one sister Thelma Churchill.
Friends may call Monday, April 18, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. unti 8:00 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Sis. Wilma Erwin officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn cemetery.
