Bertie Fannin, 87, of Emerson, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 28, 2019, at her home.
She was born June 21, 1931, on Old Trace, a daughter of the late Jack and Arlie Belle Zornes Richmond.
She was a lifelong member of Old Trace Community Church. Bertie was a homemaker who loved to sing and praise the Lord.
Survivors include a daughter Loretta (Jay) Burchett of Old Trace; a son, Donnie Ray Fannin of Vanceburg; one brother, Claudie (Hazel) Richmond of Old Trace; four grandchildren, Angie (Earl) Gilliam of Olive Hill, Christopher (Nicole) Fannin of Grahn, Abbie (Kevin) Spencer of Mansfield, Ohio, and Jason Carl (Heather Raleigh) Burchett of Hillsboro; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Gilliam, Hunter Spencer, Jana Fannin, Aaron Spencer, Christopher Fannin Jr. and Natalie Spencer; a sister-in-law, Donna Jean Richmond of Stout, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Doug Taylor of Sandy Springs, Ohio. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, relatives, close friends and neighbors who will greatly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Carl G. Fannin; three sisters, Cassie Richmond (infant), Lillian Carpenter (Jr.) and Betty Taylor; two brothers, Marcus (Sadie) Richmond and Ernie Richmond; a sister-in-law, Tottie Richmond; and a daughter-in-law Nancy Fannin.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019, at Duvall and Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service with Bro. Monroe Craig, Bro. Bobby Burge and Bro. Ronnie Chinn officiating. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019, and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services Sunday at Duvall and Moore Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Olive Hill.
