Betty Lee Maddox Milburn, 83, of Garrison, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 23, 2016, at her home.

She was born October 9, 1932, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Shannon and Brooke Farley Maddox.

Betty received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Morehead State University. She was secretary to the founder of Burger Chef in Indianapolis during their start-up years. Betty was also employed with the Gallipolis Ohio School System and retired as office manager for Santa Rita Health Care, Green Valley, Arizona.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Billie Hafemann; and a brother Shannon (Jock) Maddox.

Betty is survived by one sister, Clara McGlone of Indianapolis, Indiana; two nieces, Bobbie (David) Garver of Indianapolis, and Katherin (Matt Poole) Castle of Titus, Alabama; three nephews, Roger (Terry) McGlone of Greenville, South Carolina, Richard McGlone of Indianapolis, and Thomas (Karen) Maddox of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one great-niece, Jessica (Jason) Brenneman of Carmel, Indiana; many other great-nieces and great-nephews; and her special friend, Kenneth Skidmore of Garrison. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

At the request of the family there will be no visitation or funeral.
