Betty Kathleen Stamper McCoy, 86, of Wallingford, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home.
She was born December 20, 1937, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Eugene and Opal Irene Applegate Stamper.
Betty was a member of Petersville Church of Christ for more than 50 years and loved attending church events. She enjoyed going to homemaker meetings, watching TV, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Deana) McCoy of Wallingford; one brother, James Samuel (Norma) Stamper of Oak Ridge; and two grandchildren, Adrian Allen McCoy and Rebecca Ann (Steven) Stidam. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant children.
Graveside services will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Esham Cemetery with Bro. Arnold Howell officiating.
Rickey, Randy, Sherrie, Rae Ann, and Sheila will serve as pallbearers.
