Betty Reis, 85, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday morning, November 24, 2019, at Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care.
She was born April 2, 1934, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Howard Brewer Sr. and Nan Holt Brewer.
Betty attended Vanceburg United Methodist Church for many years. She enjoyed going shopping, talking on the phone with her many friends, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Cooper (Marietta) of Tollesboro, and Terry Reis (Sandy) of Quincy; one brother, Howard Brewer Jr. (Colleen) of Vanceburg; one sister, Marlene Gallenstein of Melbourne, Florida; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory Reis; two grandsons, Jamie Reis and Michael Reis; and one great-grandson, James Ethan Reis.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Bro. Jim Finch officiating.
