Betty Agnes Carver Stafford, 87, of Vanceburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 30, 2017, at her home.
She was born February 17, 1930, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Lester Thomas and Dama Bryant Carver.
Betty was a member of Vanceburg First Baptist Church and she enjoyed quilting, fishing, shopping, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by one son, Robert Lee Stafford Jr. of Vanceburg; one daughter, Donna Johnson (Herb) of Vanceburg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosemary Miller of Mount Gilead, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert Lee Stafford; one daughter, Peggy Ann Stafford Davidson; one grandson, BJ Davidson; three brothers, Lovell Bud Carver, John Carver and David Carver; and one sister, Irene Miracle.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Friends may visit from Noon until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
