Beulah Gilbert

Beulah Phyllis Dunaway Gilbert, 78, of Vanceburg, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville.

She was born May 28, 1945, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Archie and Dorothy Sparks Dunaway.

Beulah was a member of Petersville Church of God. She enjoyed playing the piano, watching the hummingbirds, working in her flowers, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Troy Gilbert; three sons, David (Victoria) Gilbert of Tollesboro, Matthew Gilbert of Radcliff, and Mark (Tina) Gilbert of Tollesboro; one sister, Agnes McAdams of Vanceburg; one brother, Joe Dunaway Sr. of Morehead; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Kinder and Pauline Dunaway; and two brothers, James Dunaway and Jack Stevens.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Petersville Church of God with Bro. Milt Stanfield officiating. Burial will follow in Esham Cemetery.

Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Pertersville Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Jarrod Gilbert, Mike Edington, Jeff Stamm, Joe Dunaway Jr., Gary Kegley, Doug Gulley, Joseph Gilbert, and Matthew Hahn.

Arrangements are under the direction of Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
