Billy Dale Rigdon, 81, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his home.
He was born December 24, 1942, in Lewis County, a son of the late Harvey and Lona Mae Garrett Rigdon.
Billy was a member of Canaan Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, looking for ginseng, going to the farmers market, spending time with his family, and sitting in his recliner with his little dog.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Leoma Applegate Rigdon; one daughter, Lora Dale (Tim) Hall; four grandchildren, Timmy Hall, Dustin Thoroughman, Beth Grimes. and Benji Hall; a great-granddaughter, Emily Thoroughman; and his special little pet dog, Blackie. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sabrina Lynn Rigdon, and two brothers, Maurice Rigdon and Orville Rigdon.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. Ryan Plank and Bro. Gary Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery at Burtonville.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Thoroughman, Timmy Hall, Benji Hall, Nathan Grimes, Tim Hall and Frank Morley.
