Billy W. Doyle, 86, of Tollesboro, departed this life into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his home.
He was born Thursday, August 6, 1936, in Fleming County, a son of to the late Eal and Mamie Woosley, and was lovingly raised by the late Jesse and Mary Doyle.
He was of the Christian Faith and a member of Oakwoods Church of Christ. He was a retired farmer and truck driver, and loved working in the garden and walking his dog.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Loretta Jean Doyle of Tollesboro; a sister-in-law, Martha Woosley of Clay City; and his special chosen family, Clara, Bubby, and Kim Fite; and his “grand”children Esther, Kayla, Justin, Kody, Katelyn, James, Daryl, Daelynna, Summer, Angelica, and Mandy; and family friend, Betty Evans.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Pauline Carpenter Doyle, the rose of his life, who passed away in 1996; two brothers, Caswell Woosley, and EG Woosley; and three sisters, Helen, Mary and Thelma.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, with Bro. Daniel Wylie officiating. Burial will follow in Fleming County Cemetery.
