Members of the Lewis County Board of Education approved a recommendation from Superintendent Belinda Forman to keep Lewis County High School separate from the Foster Mead Career and Technical Center while eliminating the position of principal at the vocational school.
Forman had been asked by board members to present a feasibility plan on combining the two facilities.
“After consulting, and sitting down and talking with all the vocational teachers, I met with them as a group and a few of them individually,” she said.
“One of the things I would like to say is I do respect, and I value their opinion,” she said.”
“My recommendation at this time is to leave the vocational school as is,” Forman told board members.
