Board of Ed sets tax rates

Members of the Lewis County Board of Education approved 2016 property tax rates for the school district during a regular session last week.
Board Treasurer Joe Kennedy reviewed the tax rates for board members and highlighted some information with each tax rate recommendation.
Kennedy said the Kentucky Department of Education provided information to show collection of taxes for the previous year and data on the rates that will generate the same revenue as the previous year.
