Jerry “Bob” Flinders, 61, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022, at his home.
He was born January 16, 1961, in Lewis County, a son of the late Kenneth and Avis Smith Flinders.
Jerry enjoyed coon hunting, trading, and spending time with his family and friends.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Connie Meadows Flinders; three sons, Jerry (Kimberly) Flinders, Kenneth (Stephanie) Flinders, and Tiger Flinders of Vanceburg; one daughter, Tonya (Harlan) Scott, of Vanceburg; five brothers, Wayne Flinders, Buck (Bonnie) Flinders, Glenn (Flora) Flinders, Lynn Flinders, and Billy (Jackie) Flinders of Vanceburg; four sisters, Brenda (Chester) Polley, Lora Wright, Mary (Brian) Caseman, and Lillie (Dallas) Cooper of Vanceburg; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Many other family and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Flinders, and four sisters, Beatrice Polley, Carolyn Underwood, Tilly Bear, and Linda Polley.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Homer Nolen officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery at Vanceburg.
