Timothy Wayne “Bobby” Gilbert, 60, of South Shore, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home.
He was born March 22, 1963, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Othiel Burriss and Ailene Jordan Burriss.
He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, watching TV, going to cookouts, and spending time with family, especially his grandson, Brantley.
Survivors include three daughters, Andrea Lyons Mills of South Shore, Jessica Gilbert (Archie) of Prichard, West Virginia, and Crystal Holsinger of Newark, Ohio; two sisters, Thelma (Mike) Gilliam of South Shore, and Joyce (Danny) Cooley of Vanceburg; three brothers, Dennis Gilbert of Portsmouth, Ohio, Ronnie (Charlene) Burriss of South Shore, and Kevin Burriss (Christy Kidd) of Owensville; two special nieces, Cassie and Tara; and eight grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue in Garrison, with Bro. Danny Cooley and Bro. Ronnie Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Gilliam Cemetery at South Shore.
Friends may visit after Noon Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Jason Gilliam, Bill Lightner, Dylan Hill, Jimmy Hill, Tommy Gilliam, and Coy Hill.
