Walter “Bobby” Riffe, 81, of Quincy, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born at St .Paul on April 15, 1943, a son of the late Walter F. and Nora Ruggles Riffe.
Bobby was retired from North American Refractories at South Shore and farmed his whole life.
Left behind to cherish his memory are two daughters, Paige Middleton of West Portsmouth, Ohio, and Melissa (Marty) Barnett of Garrison; one son, Rob Riffe of Vanceburg; one sister, Donna (Tim) Cornett of Louisville; 10 grandchildren, Tyler, Bobby, Kaylyn, Wes, Gavin, Emily, Gracie, Abby, Khloe, and Samie; and five great-grandchildren, Lacie, Beckham, Harper, Audrey, and Hudson. Several other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Judy Lewis Riffe; two sisters, Carolyn Sizemore and Brenda Vaughn; and a son-in-law, Steve Middleton.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Morton-Hunt Family Funeral Home in South Shore with Roger Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Riffe Cemetery on Zion Ridge in Greenup County.
Visitation for family and friends will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Barnett, Gavin Barnett, Marty Barnett, Tyler Riffe, Bobby Middleton, and Matthew Hunt.
