Boyd Raymond Evans Jr., 75, of Garrison, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born October 21, 1947, in Lewis County, a son of the late Boyd Raymond Sr and Eva Liles Evans.
Boyd was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Garrison. He enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cathy Erwin Evans; two sons, Chad (Lorie) Evans and Bret (Jeanette) Evans of Garrison; two brothers, Jerry Evans and Don (Linda) Evans of Bucyrus, Ohio; two sisters, Kay (Fred) Underwood of South Portsmouth and Betty Jane Applegate of Garrison; and five grandchildren, Kirk Evans, Destiny Lykins, Isabelle Evans, Amelia Claire Evans, and Connor Evans. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Robert Evans and two sisters, Evelyn Moore and Debbie Kegley.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison, with Bro. Brad Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Waring Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Evans, Aidan Ervin, Greg Erwin, Everett Horsley, Brady Thomas, and Bailey Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elijah Horsley and Connor Evans.
