Brian Douglas Penrod, 59, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Meadowview Medical Center in Maysville.
He was born January 5, 1967, in Mason County, a son of the late Otie Gene Penrod and Oretha Mae Prather Penrod.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Jane (Delbert) Malone and Violet Marie Highfield of Vanceburg; several nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters, Lula Mae Penrod, Betty Ann Penrod, Thelma Deloris Penrod, Wilma Ruth Renchen, and Jewell Darlene Walker; four brothers, Russell Lee Penrod, John David “Johnny” Penrod, Paul Marion Penrod, and Otie Donald Penrod; and one nephew, Derek Highfield.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Bro. John Byard officiating. Burial will be in East Fork Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Tollesboro Funeral Home.
