Delbert Leo “Buck” Crawford, 92, of Vanceburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Life Care Center of Morehead.
Buck was born at Clearfield on November 19, 1931, a son of the late Leroy and Ruth Pearl Kilgore Crawford.
Buck had served as an ordained minister of the Kentucky Christian Conference since 1968, a servant of the Lord for 55 years. He was a member of Thacker’s Chapel Christian Church where he served many years as a Sunday School teacher. He also attended Blankenship Christian Holiness Church.
Buck enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He also enjoyed gardening and canning. Buck loved talking with his neighbors. Most of all Buck loved going to church and talking to people about God. He had worked for CJ Thomas and Son Lumber Company for 35 years.
Survivors include nine nieces and nephews along with his church family.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Helen Marie Stamm Crawford, in 2019; his sisters, Olive Frances Wells, Ruby Irene Crawford, and Ella Margaret Crawford in infancy; his brothers, Bill Crawford, Clifford Crawford, Everett Clifton Crawford, and Cecil Clark Crawford in infancy.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2023, in Thomas Cemetery with Bro. Lonnie Eden officiating. Burial will follow.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
