Buddy Montieth

Buddy Lawrence Montieth, 75, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville.

He was born in Lewis County on October 4, 1949, a son of the late John D. and Silvia Lewis Montieth.

Buddy enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, detailing his car, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Kathy Faye Bloomfield Montieth; one daughter, Catrenia Dawn (Jason) Tune of Maysville; one son, Dwight Allen Montieth of Maysville; three sisters, Donetta Montieth Keeton (Scott Ketting), Glenna (Tom) Fetters, and Tammy Porter; one brother, Kevin Porter; four grandchildren, Cameron and Madison Montieth, Austin and Kennedy Carl Tune, BreeAnna and David Spence, and Brittany and Kaleb Coy; and seven great-grandchildren, Leah Maddison Coy, Gabriel Jackson Coy, Jace Michael Spence, Aiden James Spence, Landon Oliver Spence, Avery Shea Montieth, and Emberlee Lynn Montieth. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Jerry Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Ribolt.

Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2024, and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Dickerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Tune, Austin Tune, Cameron Montieth, Eric Berry, Kennedy Carl and David Spence.
