Vanceburg City Council met in regular session last week with Mayor Matt Ginn telling council member that the time to work on the city’s next budget is now.
“We need to start talking about the budget and preparing for next year,” Ginn said.
Vanceburg’s budget was a hot topic last year when consideration was given to raising the payroll tax. The matter was addressed after Council Member Chris McGlone proposed a budget that mirrored the previous year and had no increase in the payroll tax.
