Burford D. Bolander Sr., 70, of Garrison, passed away Tuesday morning, January 16, 2018, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born November 25, 1947, in Lewis County, a son of the late Glen and Irene Horner Bolander.
Burford enjoyed talking about the Bible and spending time with his family and friends.
Burford is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barsetta Hobbs Bolander; one son and two daughters-in-law, Glen and Ethel Bolander and Linda Bolander, all of Garrison; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three sisters and one brother-in-law, Janet and Jim Nichols of Columbus, Ohio, Judy Skidmore of Garrison, and Ruth Seacrest of Vanceburg. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Burford Bolander Jr.; and three brothers, Woody Bolander, Raymond Bolander, and Floyd Bolander.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel in Garrison with Bro. Chris Lawhun officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper-Willis Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
