A Lewis County Central Elementary fifth grader has been named as the second place winner nationwide in a poster contest promoting School Bus Safety Week.
Calli Lykins created the award winning poster with the theme of Bully Free Zone and in addition to the national recognition she was honored during the January meeting of the Lewis County Board of Education.
Calli was presented with a plaque by Superintendent Belinda Forman and honored by members of the board of education for her award winning work.
Her art teacher, Laura Stone, was also on hand at the meeting for the presentation.
