Carla Jean Polley, 62, of Maysville, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington.
Carla was born at Maysville on May 6, 1962, a daughter of Minnie Stanfield and the late Carl Stanfield. She recently retired from the library at Tollesboro Elementary School where she enjoyed sharing her love of reading. Carla also loved cooking and baking for family and friends, couponing, and spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, who resides at Maysville, survivors include three children, Amanda (Josh) Underwood of Tollesboro, Stephen (Kristy) Polley of Westerville, Ohio, and Kayla Polley of Versailles; her sister, Georgia Stanfield of Florence; and two grandchildren, Xander Underwood and Lennox Polley.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl D. Stanfield Jr.
A celebration of Carla’s life is being planned for a later date.
Carla’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
