Carol Ann Mason Edington, 68, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lewis County on June 13, 1957, a daughter of the late Arthur Henry and Elizabeth Katherine Flack Mason.
Carol was a devoted wife, cherished mother, and beloved grandmother whose kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She led her life with an open heart, always ready to give, to comfort, and to love without hesitation.
Her greatest joy was her family. She gave every bit of herself to ensure they felt that love each and every day. She enjoyed making every holiday special for all her babies and her adventures to Goodwill, Dollar Tree, and weekend yard sales.
She will be deeply missed. She left a legacy of love that will remain in our hearts forever.
Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years, Roger Dale Edington; three daughters, Kathy (Nelson) Blevins of Vanceburg, and Dreama (Carlos) Tackett and Kimberly (Jeffery) Bare of Garrison; one sister, Connie Carpenter of Garrison; 11 grandchildren, Brett (Tonya), Haylee (Jeffrey), Dashne (Adam), Taylor (Tee-sah), Shaun (Cheryel), Summer (Josh), Selena (Ryan), Trey (Breanna), Bionka, Hunter (Tiffany), and Amelia; and 20 great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty May Rowe, and a brother, Larry Gene Mason.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2025, and after 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brett Blevins, Taylor Blevins, Shaun Tackett, Trey Flinders, Hunter Tackett, and Jeffrey Wagner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Dummitt, Ryan Swingler, Josh Staggs and Jackie Blevins Jr.
