Carolyn Henderson

Carolyn Jordan Henderson, 73, of Black Oak, passed away Saturday morning, February 8, 2020, at her residence in Okeechobee, Florida.

She was born April 19, 1946, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Charles Estill and Virgie Clark Jordan.

Carolyn was a member of Garrison First Christian Church. She was a strong woman of faith and was a proud cancer survivor. She enjoyed going to church, traveling, cooking, gardening, canning, and loving her family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steven Ray Henderson; two daughters, Lisette Clark and Ray, and Andrea Carver and Tom, all of Black Oak; five grandchildren, Cory Allen (Megan), Amber Burton (Justin), Erica Reeder (Luke), Jaden Hord (Robbie) and Tabor Carver; and nine great-grandchildren, Kie Moore, Blaze Allen, Averie Allen, Lukas Quinn Miller, Gus Burton, Luna Jo Allen, Layla Allen, Tripp Hord, and Drax Allen. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Jordan Jr.; and two sisters, Relna Lewis and Infant Zelma Lois Jordan.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 17, 2020, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Dr. Charles Brown and Pastor Ben Collier officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020, and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.

Pallbearers will be Cory Allen, Luke Miller, Robbie Hord, Justin Burton, Trace Tolliver, Jason Bentley, Levi Bentley, and Jeremy Wilburn.

Tom Carver, Ray Clark, John Henderson and David Henderson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
