Cecil Thomas Bellamy, 74, of Maysville, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 25, 1949, in Bentonville, Ohio, a son of the late James Cecil and Emma Rogers Bellamy.
Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army and was retired from the Kentucky National Guard. He retired from DP&L with 32 years of service, and was a member of Hickory Grove Church. He enjoyed Thursday morning bowling, fishing, eating with family and friends, and spending time with his wife, sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Brenda Highfield Bellamy; two sons, Jeff (Michele) Bellamy of Mayslick and Jason Bellamy of Maysville; three brothers, Bill Bellamy of Maysville, Wayne Bellamy of Troy, Ohio, and Paul Bellamy of Tollesboro; three sisters, Jane Barker of Maysville, and Wilma Wilson and Evelyn Griffitt of Tollesboro; four grandchildren, Bret (Jaycee), Justin (Courtney), Dylan, and Peyton; and six great-grandchildren, Ofelia, Todd, Willie, Cotton, Junior, and Lucy. Several nieces and nephews also survive who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two great-grandsons, Leroy Bellamy and Elroy Bellamy, and two brothers, Ronnie Bellamy and Donnie Bellamy.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57 at Tollesboro, with Bro. David Hickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Mason County.
Friends may visit after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Pallbearers will be Bret Bellamy, Justin Bellamy, Dylan Bellamy, Wayne Bellamy, Paul Bellamy, Linza Mason, and Jerry Ruggles.
