Cecil Edward Hackworth, 55, of Maysville, passed away Monday morning, October 24, 2016, at his home.
He was born January 12, 1961, in Lewis County, a son of the late Joe and Pearl McGinnis Hackworth.
Cecil proudly served his country in the US Army. He enjoyed watching sports and country music videos on TV, and spending time with his sister, Patricia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Garnet Fraley and Gladys Hartley; and one great-granddaughter, Willow Pope.
Cecil is survived by a son, Dale Hackworth of Bowling Green; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Michael Cropper of Flemingsburg, and Elizabeth and Jeremy Detillion of Garrison; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Darrell Hackworth of Jackson, Ohio, and Ray Hackworth of Vanceburg; and one sister, Patricia Howe of Aberdeen, Ohio. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
