Charles Edward Bloomfield, 70, of Garrison, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at his home.
He was born June 16, 1950, in Lewis County, a son of the Albert and Alma Pruitt Bloomfield.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army and attended Bivens Chapel Church at Garrison. He enjoyed riding his side-by-side with his dogs, watching the sunset, and spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Cole Bloomfield; one daughter, Angelica Tanner (Rickey) of Vanceburg; three brothers, Mitchell Bloomfield of Quincy, Homer Bloomfield of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and George Bloomfield of Garrison; two sisters, Phyllis Shivley and Avis Bond, both of Silver Grove; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Bloomfield; one brother, Jerry Bloomfield; and one sister, Norma Thayer.
A private graveside service will be Sunday, December 6, 2020, in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison with Bro. Ronnie Conley officiating.
Charles’ family will serve as pallbearers.
