Charles Everett Rister, 70, of Garrison, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born December 13, 1951, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Everett Rister and Beulah Fraley Rister.
He was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed talking to friends and family, listening to music, and playing his guitar.
He is survived by one son, Jerry Rister; three brothers, Wayne Rister of Garrison, Leroy Rister of Greenup County, and JD Goddard of Garrison; and three sisters, Sharon Cassidy of Vanceburg, Marie Bloomfield of South Shore and Ora Caudill of Vanceburg.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by one son, Everett Rister; two brothers, Howard Goddard and David Rister; and three sisters, Pauline Horsley, Mary Ann Goddard, and Alice Goddard.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022, in Dummitt Ridge Cemetery with Bro. Anthony Rister officiating.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
