Christine Applegate

Christine Applegate, 81, of Wallingford, passed away Friday, September 20, 2024, at her home. She was the widow of Clyde N. Applegate.

Born at Whitesburg, Tennessee, on January 30, 1943, her father was the late Palmer Pryor Taylor and her mother was the late Geneva Oney Taylor.

Christine enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzle books, and spending time with special friends. She worked at US Shoe in Flemingsburg and Vanceburg, retiring as a supervisor. She was a member of Flemingsburg Baptist Church where she enjoyed many church activities.  

Christine is survived by her sister, Linda Manning and husband Scott; her brother, Terry Taylor and wife Brenda; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, and her husband Clyde, who passed in 2002, she was preceded a brother, Philip Daniel Taylor.

Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Flemingsburg Baptist Church with Pastor Trent Keeton officiating. 

Christine will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church, located at 1856 Elizaville Road at Flemingsburg.

Pallbearers include Jerry Judd, Jeff Vice, Brandon Armstrong, John Lamb, Jerry Kesterson, and Hayden Kesterson. Honorary pallbearers include Kenny Dunaway, Katie Keeton, Kelsey Taylor, Christie Kesterson, and Hannah Kesterson.
