Christine Alafair Clark Arnold, 86, of Garrison, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 23, 2022, at Southern Ohio Medical Center Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She was born November 29, 1936, at Garrison, a daughter of the late Roy and Zora Bloomfield Clark.
As a newlywed, she moved to Pomona, California, for a year for Dale to work on a farm. After returning back to Kentucky, they welcomed son Steven. The next year they moved to Dale’s home state of Iowa where they lived in Marion until Dale retired. While there, the couple welcomed three daughters: Penny, Sherri, and Robin. Christine was a member and Sunday School teacher at Bivens Chapel. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Christine is survived by a son, Steven (Nancy) Arnold, and their children, Christian (Beth) Arnold and Lincoln Arnold; three daughters, Penny (Clinton) Hall and their children, Matthew and Michael (Tiffany) Hall, Sherri (Sherman) Collins, and their children, Melissa and Andrew (Tara) Collins and Robin (Steve) Halverson and their children, Colton and Holly Halverson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Creighton and Olivia Arnold, Audie and Alexia Hall, Abigail, Lauren, and Brody Collins, and Bryce Halverson. Also surviving is a sister Wilma (Roger) Erwin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and lifelong partner, Dale Arnold, to whom she was happily married to for 58 years; three brothers, Douglas, Wayne, and Dwight Clark; and a granddaughter, Blaike Arnold.
Services will be at Noon Friday, December 30, 2022, at Bivens Chapel Church at Garrison with Bro. Ronnie Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Richardson Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 20, 2022, at Bivens Chapel Church.
