Delores Christine Suttles, 82, of Vanceburg, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at her home.
Christine was born in Lewis County on April 25, 1941, a daughter the late Elmer and Rosa Sparks McCleese. She worked as a sales representative for Avon and as a dispatcher for the City of Bethel, Ohio.
She loved reading and tending to her garden. Her passion was taking care of her grandchildren. Christine worked for the Clermont Sun in Ohio in the advertising department.
Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Lisa Chadwell of Vanceburg and Gina Suttles of Olive Hill; two sisters, Mae Marshall of Vanceburg and Jeanie Young of West Union, Ohio; two brothers, Donald McCleese of Sardina, Ohio, and Timothy McCleese of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren, Nick, Miranda, Scottlin, Cassie, Kelli, and Justin; and several great-grandchildren. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Suttles Jr. in 1992; a son, Jeffrey Jay Suttles; a sister, Norma Ruth Anderson; and two brothers, Stanley McCleese and Carl McCleese.
At the request of the family there will be no service at this time.
