Clarence Caseman, 82, of Vanceburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his home with his family by his side.
Clarence was born in Vanceburg on May 30, 1934, to the late Burl and Sara Yates Caseman.
He had worked for Ryder Brass Foundry in Bucyrus, Ohio, and was a custodian for the Lewis County School system for 22 years.
Clarence was a loving husband and father, and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Betty Nolen Casemen, whom he married in Vanceburg May 26, 1956; two daughters, Judy (Larry) Carrington and Cathy (Bill) Everman, both of Vanceburg; former son-in-law, Jim Evans of Vanceburg; a brother, Marlin Caseman of Vanceburg; a nephew whom he and Betty raised, James Pruitt of Vanceburg; four grandchildren, Dusty Carrington, Andy Caseman, Ryan Evans, and Johnathan Everman; and seven great-grandchildren Colbin Carrington, Blake Carrington, Payton Carrington, Brooklyn Carrington, Emily Everman, Eli Everman and Easton Everman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Caseman Jr.; a daughter, Carolyn Evans; a sister, Kathryn McGraw; and four brothers, James Caseman, Leonard Caseman, William H. (Daygo) Caseman, and Lee Caseman.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg with Bro. Hansel Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday, July 29, 2016, at Gaydos Funeral Home, 159 Second Street in Vanceburg.
