Clarence Moore, 81, of Frankfort, formerly of Garrison, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Lewis County on February 28, 1940, a son of the late Robert and Maudie Hicks Moore.
Clarence was a retired Ironworker. He enjoyed gardening and loved Christmastime and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Mark Moore and Jennifer of Shelbyville; three sisters, Vada Moore of Quincy, Verlia Moore Hartley of Greenup, and Irene Moore Kiser of Garrison; three grandchildren, Cali Sills of Frankfort, Hunter Moore and Andrea of Mount Eden, and Shelby Moore of Shelbyville; and two great-grandchildren, Oakley Sills and Briar Kelly of Frankfort.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Delours Payton Moore on January 22, 2021; three brothers, Sterling Moore, Stanley Moore, and Chester Moore; and a sister, Iva Madden.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Globe Family Funeral Chapel at Garrison with Bro. Clarence Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Skidmore Cemetery at Garrison.
Friends may visit from 11:30 a.m. until the service hour Saturday at Globe Family Funeral Chapel, 103 Dudley Avenue at Garrison.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
