Cloyd Joe “Coke” Bloomfield, 70, of Vanceburg, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Vanceburg Hills Nursing Facility. His family was at his side.
Coke was born at Mansfield, Ohio, August 24, 1954, a son of the late Lloyd Sr. and Joann Fry Bloomfield. Coke liked to play his guitar and socialize with family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand to a neighbor. He was of the Christian faith.
Left to cherish his memories are a daughter, Mary Jo Bloomfield of Garrison; a son, George (Robin) Bloomfield of Vanceburg; three sisters, Nancy Knell of Bucyrus, Ohio, Patty Highfield of Nevada, Ohio, and Donna Campbell of Vanceburg; two brothers, General Bud Bloomfield and Roger (Ellen) Bloomfield of Bucyrus, Ohio; and five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Trenton, Samantha, Lindsey, and Ariel. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive who will mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Louanna Noggle and Margaret Ann “Peggy” Weiler; two brothers, Lloyd Bloomfield Jr. and James Michael Bloomfield; a grandson, Joshua Matthew Bloomfield; and two nieces, Kelly Jo Bloomfield and Belinda Nicole Bloomfield.
Graveside services will be at Noon Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Morgan Cemetery at Head of Grassy with Bro. Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
