Cole Allen Zornes, 10-years-old, of Vanceburg, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at Portsmouth, Ohio.
He was born at Portsmouth on June 10, 2013, a son of Shawn and Ashley Lyons Zornes.
Cole was a student at Laurel Elementary School. He loved fishing, riding his four-wheeler, playing basketball and football, and spending time with his mom, dad, sisters, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Cole survivors include two sisters, Jayden Lyons and Cambrie Zornes of Camp Dix; his paternal grandparents, Darrell Zornes, and Lea Patton and Danny Patton; his paternal great-grandmother, Louise Zornes; and his maternal grandfather, Roger Bevins. Many other family members and friends also survive who will sadly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather, Cletis Zornes; maternal grandmother, Karen Lyons; and maternal great-grandmother, Joyce Patton.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Tony Corns officiating.
Friends may visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Channing Noble, Nathan Zornes, Dawson Bloomfield, Taton Bloomfield, Eugene Wilbrun, and Tyson McCray.
