Danny William Mineer, 53, of Flemingsburg, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Clark Regional Medical Center.
Born September 25, 1962, in Maysville, Danny was a son of James “Jim” and Ruby Stamm Mineer.
Danny retired from the Department of Transportation as the Supervisor of Right of Ways after 30 years of service. For the last year he worked for Palmer Engineering in Winchester. His first love was farming; he was a lifelong farmer dedicated to his land, his dairy cattle and his family. In addition, he had been an auctioneer for Fleming County Auction and Real Estate, and was always willing to help auctioneer for special events in the community. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Mineer of Morehead; his parents, Jim and Ruby; his brother, Darrell (Karen) Mineer of Flemingsburg; and his nephew, Heath Mineer.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Dora Mineer and maternal grandparents, Glen and Dorothy Stamm.
Services will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Bro. Layne Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Martin Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Heath Mineer, Mike Mineer, Brad Mineer, Brent Fields, Anthony Marshall, Keith McDonald, Billy Stamm, Albert Stamm, Jeff Stamm and Jeremy Stamm will serve as pallbearers.
