Darlene Bruce Cole, 80, of Vanceburg, went home to be with the Lord Monday, April 3, 2023, at her residence. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Darlene was born November 9, 1942, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late George Washington and Audrey McCleese Bruce.
She loved going to church, reading her Bible, watching her grandchildren play sports, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Virgil Agnew Cole; one son, Marty Bruce (Natasha) Cole of Vanceburg; one daughter, Melanie (Victor) Christy of Vanceburg; four grandchildren, Emily Cole, Ayden Cole, Adam Christy, and Cory Christy; and one great-grandchild, Chloe Christy. Many other family members and friends that loved her dearly also survive who will mourn her passing.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street in Vanceburg, with Bro. Jerry Blevins and Bro. Chris Lawhun officiating. Burial will follow in Maddy Cemetery.
Friends may visit after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Marty Cole, Adam Christy, Cory Christy, Ayden Cole, Johnny Cook, and Matt Cook.
